As a full-time artist since 2015, my artistic journey has been a kaleidoscope of experiences, taking insight from my previous work in tattooing and surface pattern, to becoming a proud member of United ArtSpace. I now have a diverse collector base spanning the globe.
Art, for me, has always been a medium to explore the uncharted territories of taboo topics, a canvas for expressing the untold stories that linger beneath the surface. To push the narrative, and in doing so, myself.
In April 2023, my artistic journey took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with a rare incurable brain disease. This life-altering moment reshaped not only my perception of art in my life but also the very process of creation.
No longer able to immerse myself in the uninterrupted flow of days or weeks devoted to a single piece, with a brain now working overtime to prevent itself from having a stroke or aneurysm, and with progressive vision loss, I now approach my artistry in short bursts of energy dictated by my newfound impediments.
These limitations, far from inhibiting my creativity, have become an integral part of my artistic identity. The messy, chaotic nature of my artistic process now shines through unapologetically in each stroke, each colour, and each piece. My art has evolved to reflect the rhythm of my energy bursts, and the ever changing boundaries of my vision, embracing the ebb and flow of my abilities.
